It's almost time. Your first day at bnode. We are really looking forward to welcoming you. And that 'we' includes more than 40.000 colleagues around the world. You will be part of a close, congenial group here. You'll have the space to discover your talents and seize opportunities, while contributing to our main mission: connecting people.
We understand that a new job involves a lot of things. But no worries! We'll go through everything together so that you are fully prepared.
Your colleagues and supervisor will be on the job from day one to introduce you to the world of bnode. We promise that you will soon feel right at home with us!
We want to arrange everything properly for you before you start. You can expect some emails from us requesting information. To help you keep track, we've compiled all the steps we will go through together. That way, you'll know what you have already done and what is still to come.
Your efforts deserve not only good pay but also great perks. Benefits, holidays, insurance ... all that also comes with a new job.
Like everyone else in Belgium, you are entitled to 20 statutory holidays if you work full-time. At bnode, you get extra statutory leave days on top of that.
Some of these extra statutory leave days are fixed. View them here and plan something fun in advance.
Send us the holiday certificate you received from your previous employer as soon as possible, so we can correctly calculate your holidays.
Your meal vouchers (8 euros per day worked) are loaded onto your personal Pluxee card (formerly Sodexo) on the 10th day of the following month.
If you already have such a card from your previous employer, you can continue using it. Don't have a card yet? Then keep an eye on your letterbox. You will receive your card on the 10th day of the following month after your first day of work. For example, if you start at bnode in January, you will receive your Pluxee card mid-February.

As a valued member of our team, we want you to always get the best care. Your hospitalisation insurance therefore starts on your first working day, with no waiting period.
Your family can also use it. Indicate in the onboarding form which family members you want to include. The hospitalisation insurance brochure, which you receive with your salary proposal, will show all the associated costs.
Have you already filled in the onboarding form but missed this information? Then get in touch as soon as possible.
A colleague from our Fleet department will then contact you to discuss which car will be waiting for you on your first day of work.
You can also opt for a public transport subscription as part of your mobility budget. Indicate what you need on your onboarding form. We will then provide you with a certificate that you can use to apply for your subscription for SNCB-NMBS, STIB-MIVB or De Lijn.
You will then still need a MOBIB card, which you can buy at transport company ticket counters (at your own expense).

We look forward to your arrival and hope your journey goes as smoothly as possible. Whether you travel by bike, public transport or car, we make it as easy as possible for everyone.
Multi building (or as we call it: “the Multi”) Boulevard Anspach 1, 1000 Brussels
Enter on Boulevard Anspach (car-free zone). Tip: Are you standing in the Post Office? Then you are on the wrong side of the building. Our entrance is located opposite Galet and Black & White Burger.
Go to the first floor via the central staircase or the lift on the left of the entrance hall. There you will find the entrance to our offices and our Welcome Desk.
Use your badge to access the various locations throughout the building. You can collect it at the Welcome Desk on your first working day.
Brussels Central Station is the closest train station and just a 10-minute walk away, but Brussels-North is also another option. Travelling by bus or metro? Then get off at De Brouckère stop.
There are several car parks nearby. If you choose Interparking De Brouckère, you can take the lift ("Brouckère" exit) straight to the first floor.
Brilliant! You can safely park your bike or scooter in our bike parking facility, which is accessed using your staff badge. Want to freshen up after your ride? No problem. The showers and changing rooms are next to the bike parking.
It is very important that you feel comfortable with us. Our work-from-home policy helps ensure a good work-life balance. Depending on the arrangements within your team, you may work 2–3 days a week from home or in our satellite offices.
If your position allows and in consultation with your team, you can also flexibly schedule your 38-hour working week.
Any questions about our work-from-home policy? Don't hesitate to discuss it with your supervisor.
Don't worry. You will receive all the information you need in time to make your first day at work go smoothly. Your supervisor will also contact you in the days prior to your start, so you know where and when we expect you.
Your first working day is all about a warm welcome. You will meet a lot of new faces and get an initial introduction to our company and your job. We will also arrange various practical matters, such as your laptop, badge, and les accès nécessaires.
Be assured that you will have plenty of time to get to know us and your new job.
We make sure everything is ready on your first day of work.
There is no company restaurant in our head office, but there are plenty of dining options within walking distance. That's the advantage of working in the centre of Brussels!
Most of our large sorting centres do have company restaurants.
So! That was a lot to take in. But we think it's important to get you off to a good start. Do you have any questions for us? Feel free to contact the colleagues mentioned below.
